The exterior is very beautiful, I can say similar design as Toyota Wish and Mitsubishi Grandis. However, the rims are quite small. Interior-wise, there's something new with stereng wheel and meter panel as almost the same as Gen2.

There's a possibility that Proton will make a debut in World Rally Championship in 2010. Negotiation has been made with Peter Solberg to drive Satrio Neo S2000 edition.

Nissan Grand Livina Tuned by Impul

For Grand Livina fans out there, this news will make you guys excited and aroused because Nissan will introduce tuned version for Grand Livina in Malaysia. You can check it out at Nissan showroom today.

The Grand Livina Tuned will be equipped with bodykit comprising of a new front grille, lips for the front and rear, side skirts, and an Impul rear wing spoiler.

The MPV is also fitted with the Impul sports suspension system which lowers ride height by 25mm and are tuned for a sportier drive with reduced body roll and pitch. The sporty look is completed with an Impul Blast II exhaust muffler, and 17 inch Impul Aura SX-10 alloy wheels wrapped with Dunlop Formula D 01 205/45R17 tyres.

Nissan Navara Launched in Malaysia

ETCM just launched Nissan Navara to compete with Hilux, Triton and D-Max. The price in the official website of this Mother Trucker is at RM103,721.90 which is higher than Hilux and Triton.

We will be getting the powerful common rail intercooled direct injected version with a Variable Nozzle Turbo (VGT) producing a powerful174 PS at 4,000rpm and 403Nm of torque at 2,000rpm.

Unlike the Frontier which came with a 5-speed manual only, the new Nissan Navara will come with a 5-speed automatic transmission with an easy rotary switch for shifting between 2WD and 4WD modes. 2H and 4H modes can be shifted on the fly at speeds of under 100km/h. You will likely have to stop to switch into the low-ratio 4L mode, but the rotary switch makes it easier than a shift lever.

This is probably also the first pick-up truck in Malaysia equipped with Xenon HID headlamps, which ETCM carefully states on the site is fully JPJ-compliant. The vehicle also has dual SRS airbags for the front passenger and driver. A version with leather seats will also be available, while in-car audio is served by a 2-DIN audio system with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters.
The specs of the Navara indicates a rather premium positioning - leather seats, the powerful engine and the xenon headlamps are proof of that. The microsite does not indicate a price and I’m not sure whether a cheaper version with less specs but retaining the powerful engine (or a manual version) will be available.
