7 Tips on How to Increase Your Blog Traffic

Do you have a blog that you feel need some reader or need some popularity? If so your blog is suffering from a lack of blog traffic, this is a few tips from my blogging experience thus far. Noted that I just been blogging for about less than 3 months and at first I was so crazy about making money through blogging by taking paid posting etc but this kind of paid posting will smack you page ranking. Oppss...off topic a little bit :)

So here's my 7 tips to increase blog traffic

1. Publicize your link: Give your link to your friends! Join relevant blogging groups such as Socialspark, etc. If you belong to any forums, you should provide a link to your blog, maybe even include one in your signature so it is easily visible.

2. Comment on other people's blogs: Make relevant comments to avoid being hated by other fellow bloggers. Commenting allows you to become better known in the blogging community. You do not need to provide your link in the comment as your profile (for example blogger) automatically contains your link which helps increase your blog page rank (and if it isn't automatic like blogger, it should ask for your homepage anyways). Additionally, most bloggers like myself read all of their comments and may visit your blog to get some background on who you are.

3. Communicate with your reader by setting up message box: You can get message box widget from Shoutbox etc for free and it easily to leave an instant message at your blog.

4. Link Referral: I have recently used Link Referral and have gotten tons of traffic as a result. After becoming a member of link referral your blog gets ranked. The higher your blog is ranked, the more likely other people are to visit your blog. You increase your blog ranking by visiting other blogs, writing blog reviews, labeling favorite blogs, and by forum posts.

5.Blogexplosion: I have never used a traffic exchange program with more success. I have used Blog Explosion for a one month and it is currently my largest source of blog traffic. It is very easy to do. Registration is free and you get credits based on other blogs you visit. Those credits are used to guarantee traffic in return.

6. Traffic Swarm. This is another traffic exchange program but I ranked it the lowest among other program that I tried such as Link Referral and Blog Explosion. The method is similar to Link Referral and Blog Explosion but the result is quite slow. It will take some time for traffic to come.

7. Entrecard. You have probably noticed an Entrecard widget on my sidebar (Top upper left). Not only do I think the Entrecard adds some jive to any blog, but Entrecard is an excellent way to increase your traffic. All members of Entrecard get placed in a directory so it is easily located by other members. Entrecard also allows you to advertise on other blogs.

Dont forget to install Feedjit to check from where your traffic come ya..!

Happy generating traffic..!

EPL: Bolton 1 - 3 Arsenal

Manager Arsene Wenger saw his Arsenal side move to the top of the Premier League with a mix of breathtaking skill and a solid work ethic in a 3-1 at Bolton.

It was just the result the Gunners boss craved with Liverpool being held to a draw by Stoke and Chelsea not facing Manchester United until Sunday.

Bolton, however, made a decent fist of it and went ahead through Kevin Davies.

Arsenal's response was swift and majestic. Emmanuel Eboue and Nicklas Bendtner turned the game on its head with two goals in two minutes.

Then Denilson secured the points late on after another swift and decisive counter-attack.

How To Use Google Image To Increase Blog Traffic

By following these steps, not only will you bring traffic to your blog but you will improve your Google search rank.

1. Go to Google Image

2. Type in a subject related to your blog post. For instance, for you're blogging about Sarah Palin, type in Sarah Palin

3. Pick a picture featuring Sarah Palin (or whatever subject you decide).

4. Click on the image and then select see full-size image. It's in blue at the top of the page.

5. When the image is the ONLY thing on the screen, copy the url in the address bar. The image must take up the screen like this for this step to work.

6. At some point in your blog post, link to that image using the url you copied.

When someone searches for Sarah Palin using Google Image search, your blog will be listed as one of the sites using the image you chose.

Even though another blog or website is listed below the picture, if you have linked to the image, you will receive traffic. Look at this example when you type in murshidism at Google Image.

Linking through Google Image works best when the image and subject of your blog are in sync. For example, if the image is of Bill Gates, you'll get a longer stay at your blog if you're also writing about him.

Everybody wants blog traffic. You. Me. Them. To increase your blog traffic, you must use many methods. Google Image is one tool that can help you achieve your goals.

Gunners hail last-gasp Gallas

Arsenal captain William Gallas bundled in a late equaliser to rescue a point from the Gunners' opening Champions League Group G game against Dynamo Kiev in the Ukraine.

Emmanuel Adebayor, Robin van Persie, twice, and Cesc Fabregas all had good first-half chances for the Barclays Premier League club, who have still yet to win a European tie in the former Soviet Union.
Kiev looked to have made them pay a heavy price when, on 64 minutes, Bacary Sagna was adjudged to have pushed over Ognjen Vukojevic and Ismael Bangoura scored from the penalty spot.
Then, just as time looked to be running out, Gallas - who had made a mistake in the build-up to the goal - netted at close range following a low cross by Theo Walcott.
Arsenal had been beaten twice by Dynamo, in 1998 and 2003, and also went down 3-0 to Shakhtar Donetsk in 2000, while their record in Russia was also poor, with two defeats from three visits.

Ramadhan Bazaar

Last weekend our family went out to SS14 Subang Jaya Pasar Ramadhan. 5.30pm and it's crowded with all kind of peoples (not only muslim) looking for foods that some of it only appear during this blessed month of Ramadhan.

It always reminds me of Pasar Ramadhan in Kelantan such as in Kota Bharu where loads of strange and delicious kuih that can be found during Ramadhan. Names like Tahi Itik, Nekbat, Jala Emas and Puteri Mandi are very famous in Kelantan and it cannot be found here in SJ or Bandar Sunway.

Price is high here but as long as it is something that can be eat, there's always a buyer!

La Liga Wrap Up: Day 2

Barcelona's poor start to the season continued, and they only have one point from their opening two games after a 1-1 draw with Racing Santander in the Nou Camp. Coach Pep Guardiola revolutionized the side, leaving Henry in the stands and including youngsters Sergio Busquets and Pedro in his starting line up. But despite dominating for much of the match, they couldn't open the scoring until twenty minutes from the end, when substitute Messi converted a penalty after Christian had handled in the area. Five minutes later though Jonathan Pereira deflected a Garay free kick past Valdés to equalise, and there were protests from local fans at the end of the match.

Almería 2-2 Valencia
Málaga 0-0 Athletic
Valladolid 2-1 Atlético
Recreativo 0-1 Espanyol
Getafe 0-0 Betis
Sevilla 4-3 Sporting
Barcelona 1-1 Racing
R Madrid 4-3 Numancia
Villarreal 1-0 Deportivo
Mallorca 1-1 Osasuna

Real Madrid recorded their first win of the season, although they had a couple of scares before beating Numancia 4-3. The Soria based side were fresh from their victory over Barcelona, and they went ahead through Moreno before Guti made it all square with Madrid's 5,000th league goal. Barkero restored the lead though, and although strikes from Higuain and Van der Vaart and a Cisma own goal seemed to have wrapped things up before the break, a second goal from Moreno put the result in doubt right up until the final whistle.

EPL Wrap Up: Week 4

Gameweek 4 results as follow:

Liverpool 2 - 1 Man Utd
Blackburn 0 - 4 Arsenal
Fulham 2 - 1 Bolton
Newcastle 1 - 2 Hull City
Portsmouth 2 - 1 Middlesbrough
West Brom 3 - 2 West Ham
Wigan 1 - 1 Sunderland
Man City 1 - 3 Chelsea
Stoke City 2 - 3 Everton
Tottenham 1 - 2 Aston Villa

Last night game saw Juande Ramos' Spur drop to the bottom of the table. I didn't understand why such a team with load of brilliant young stars can't performed good enough....well it is football, sometime you win and sometime you lose but if you always lose?

I would like to congratulate Liverpool for their game against Manchester United. Good job Rafa, at least there is something good about you. All of my strikers scored this week, Amr Zaki, Jermaine Defoe and Anelka. Robinho look delicious with a debut goal against Chelsea but Man City still lose 1-3.

Arsenal continued their excellence display with 4-0 thrashing of Blackburn. Theo Wallcott looked impressive after a good run in England match against Croatia. I wonder why he listed as striker in Fantasy League where as he is operated in right wing under Arsene Wenger.

Game to watch Gameweek 5: Manchester United vs Chelsea

So who gonna win this early fight, The Blues or Red Devil....?

Mysore Bound

There is a quote saying " an apple a day keep the doctor away" which I found it quite "mystery". What apple can do to make our body healthy, it just contain mostly water, citric acid and glucose? I hope my niece can explain to me in the next six years.

She went to further her study in India....pursuit her dream to be a doctor. She flew to Bangalore last weekend and will be continuing her degree in JSS Medical College, Mysore. Six pain-in-the-ass years to complete the degree in medical, what an effort but it will be worthwhile if she finish it and back in Malaysia before her age reaching 30s.

we conquer the whole stretch of the bench

my nieces and nephew during buka puasa

family photo before check-in

It is Ramadhan, fasting month for Muslim and we breakfasting at airport. It's like mini dinner-box buka puasa with 20 peoples strong army conquering  a very quiet arrival hall. Our dinner just a home-made nasi goreng with fried chicken and a bottle of mineral water. We had to hurry because my niece had to check-in at 8.15pm.

It was an emotional moment at the departure hall as we send her to the departure gate. By the way, I am sure her family will take a trip to Mysore in the near future.

Before departure

Next week, it will be her sister's turn...fly to Alexandria, Egypt to study medic in Alexandria University. Another buka puasa in airport for my family....

Google Chrome

Google has just introduced their very own browser, Google Chrome.  So I downloaded it yesterday and give it a try. Well, I'm very satisfied with it, I mean in term of looks. I use office LAN connection and my company control the windows update so they only provide me with IE 6 which is pretty suck. Firefox even can't load page, I assume that our IT department block the Firefox usage. But, this Chrome can get through our LAN connection and it is better than IE 6.

The bad side of Chrome is that it doesn't has so many option like in Firefox. There is no "stop" button and the progress bar doesn't show how long it will take to load the intended page.

However, Google introduced Incognito mode where it will not save your browsing history, cache and password. The address bar also can be use as search bar and it is autoed to Google Search Engine. Furthermore, page history snapshots appeared rather than blank screen in IE or Firefox.

On the bright side, it is a good start for Google to challenge Microsoft and Mozilla in browser war. Well at least we as a user have option to choose, rather than stuck with IE. I am pretty sure there will be Chrome upgrade in the near future and as of now, I'll take Chrome.

You can download Google Chrome here.

How to monetize your Facebook

We all know that Facebook is the most popular internet social network. Facebook started in Harvard for their students and it was an instant hits after that. There is suggestion to link up real application such as flight booking, hotel booking and many other "useful" application to be part of Facebook.
Facebook is a gold mine for generate traffic. But how we as publisher aka blogger can make use our Facebook account which has hundreds or thousands of friends in it? If there is anybody out there know the answer, feel free to drop a comment so we can share it with other readers.

Robinho goes Man City

Manchester City pulled the highest British transfer record when they acquired Robinho from Real Madrid under Chelsea nose. The transfer fee was around 61 million euros. It would be nice to see Robinho trickery alongside Jo and compatriot Elano Blummer this season at Man City.

Dimitar Berbatov finally sealed his long awaited transfer to Manchester United with Fraizer Campbell goes to Tottenham Hotspurs. The fee is believed around 32.5 million pound. Spurs also snatched Vedran Corluka and Roman Pavlyuchenko from Man City and Spartak Moscow respectively.

Liverpool got his right winger in form of Albert Riera from Espanyol and seeing Andriy Voronin and Steve Finnan moved to Espanyol. Newcastle got a striker Xisco, a second player arrived from Deportivo La Coruna.

Here's latest transfer list just before the deadline:

Roman Pavlyuchenko [Spartak Moscow - Tottenham] £14m
Vedran Corluka [Manchester City - Tottenham] £8.5m
Sone Aluko [Birmingham - Aberdeen] Undisclosed
Mark Bunn [Northampton - Blackburn] Undisclosed
Daniel Cousin [Rangers - Hull] Undisclosed
Steve Finnan [Liverpool - Espanyol] Undisclosed

EPL Wrap Up: Week 3

Barclay's Premier League Week 3 result:

Bolton 0 - 0 West Brom
Everton 0 - 3 Portsmouth
Hull City 0 - 5 Wigan
Middlesbrough 2 - 1 Stoke City
West Ham 4 - 1 Blackburn
Arsenal 3 - 0 Newcastle
Chelsea 1 - 1 Tottenham
Sunderland 0 - 3 Man City
Aston Villa 0 - 0 Liverpool

I got 30 points for Fantasy League this week which is the lowest so far and my ranking in MK League and Maxis League dropped to 9th and 12th respectively. I should have bought Wigan's Amr Zaki last week.

Liverpool continued their unimpressive display with Torres injured on 24th minute and replaced by Ngog. He Had one good chance with a strike above the post. Arsenal showed some promise after thrashing Newcastle 3-0 thanks to two-goal Robin Van Persie and Denilson. They continued their impressive run after 4-0 thumping of FC Twente in Champion's League Qualifier.

I have to start considering Portsmouth again as I did last season. Actually most of my Fantasy League Player were consist of 3 Portsmouth players such as David James, Sol Campbell and Sylvain Distin. Lucky enough I didn't picked them up on 1st and 2nd week but this week they showed their quality. Elsewhere, Shaun Wright-Phillips scored two goals on his return to Manchester City.

For 4th Week, my plan is to replace uneffective Anelka and Santa Cruz, kick Geovanni out and restructuring my defense. Huh....another massive points will be deducted :(
